He has been in a relationship with fitness model Michelle Yavulla since 2018. Some online references mistakenly refer to a “Michelle Ricker,” but no reliable confirmation of a wedding exists across the available records.
The confusion often arises from WWE storylines. In 2022, LA Knight was briefly repackaged as Max Dupri, the manager of the Maximum Male Models stable. During that period, the character was given an on-screen sister named Maxxine Dupri, portrayed by Valerie Loureda. Despite sharing the Dupri surname, there is no real-life family connection between LA Knight and Maxxine Dupri. The relationship was entirely fictional.
The Maxxine Dupri character is played by Valerie Loureda, a former MMA fighter. Their pairing was a storyline device that ended when Knight dropped the Max Dupri gimmick. No evidence suggests any personal relationship off-screen.

His most prominent pre-WWE work came under the ring name Eli Drake in Impact Wrestling (formerly TNA), where he held the Impact World Championship. He also wrestled for NWA, Major League Wrestling (MLW), and various independent promotions.
Some fans speculate about an AEW run because Knight’s style and promo ability would fit that roster. However, every credible source, including Sportskeeda and The SmackDown Hotel, confirms that he has only wrestled for WWE and Impact among the major U.S. promotions.
The rumor that LA Knight might appear in AEW likely stems from his time in Impact Wrestling and a period of free agency in 2020–2021. He ultimately chose to return to WWE in February 2021, ending any speculation.
Where did LA Knight wrestle before WWE?
Before signing with WWE, LA Knight competed under names such as Slate Randall and Eli Drake. His Impact Wrestling tenure (2015–2019) was the most successful, including a reign as Impact World Champion and numerous high-profile feuds. He also made appearances in NWA and MLW in 2020.
